How do I log in to the platform?

From any page on our website (including this one!).

Look to the top right of the page. You’ll see a ‘log in’ button. Simply click this and you’ll be taken straight to the log in page.

Haven’t signed up yet? Get your free account by just clicking ‘sign up’.

Once you’re inside, you can easily create an employer-friendly CV, step by step.

What does it cost?

It’s free to start and use our step-by-step CV builder to create your CV online.

There’s no time limit. You can spend however long you need building a CV for free using a customisable template.

Upgrade to the Pro Plan and you’ll be able to:

Download CVs as PDFs, ready to apply for jobs

Get access to unlimited free premium templates and colours

Make as many CVs as you like (so you can tailor them to each job application, and increase your chances of getting that job).

You can cancel the Pro Plan at any time.

How can I cancel my Pro Plan subscription?

Log in to your account.

Click ‘settings’ (you should see this towards the bottom left of your screen on desktop).

This will take you to your profile where you’ll see a ‘cancel subscription’ button.

If you’re cancelling because you’ve found your ideal job – congratulations 🎉

But if it’s because something is not working for you on the platform, we’d love to know.

Can I add a photo to my CV?

Yes! It’s easy to do this (whether you have a free account or the Pro Plan).

To add your photo, log in to your account.

Click on the CV you’d like to add a photo to.

In the ‘personal information’ section, you’ll see the ‘upload photo’ button. Click on this to choose any photo in .jpg, .jpeg or .png format.

For best results – use neutral, professional looking photos of your face and shoulders. Avoid pictures with other people in, or distracting backgrounds.

How do I change my CV template?

To use our full collection of CV templates, you’ll need to be on our Pro Plan (free users only get our standard template).

To choose your template, make sure you’re logged in to your account.

Next, click on the CV you’d like to change the template for.

Go to ‘settings’ and you’ll see all your templates listed, along with custom colours and fonts.

How can I download my CV?

To download your CV as a PDF, ready to send to employers, log in and go to your dashboard.

Click on the CV you would like to download. Click the ‘download’ button (top right of the page if you’re on desktop).

If you already have the Pro Plan, your download will start automatically. And you can download as many CVs as you need, as often as you like.

Got a free account? You’ll need to get the Pro Plan to be able to download your CV.

How can I sort the different sections and items in my CV?

This is easy once you know how! First, log in and go to your dashboard. Then, click on the CV you want to sort.

You’ll see 6 grey dots arranged in 2 rows to the left of each section (such as ‘work experience’ or ‘skills’) and each item you have added.

When you hover over these 6 dots, your cursor will turn into a grab hand. Use the hand to drag and drop sections and items wherever you would like them to be in your CV.

Top CV writing tip: aim to give the employer you’re targeting the info they’ll be most interested in, first. For example, if you have extensive relevant experience, make sure that’s obvious on page 1. If you need particular technical skills for the job you want, highlight these first.

How can I delete an item or section from my CV?

First, log in and go to your dashboard. Then, click on the CV you want to change.

To delete an item (such as a previous job, or a skill that you’ve added), look for the grey ‘bin’ sign to the right of the item. Click this to delete.

To delete a section, (such as ‘languages’ or ‘hobbies’), you’ll need to delete every item in that section. Once a section has no items listed under it, it will disappear from your CV.

Remember: you can also edit section names by clicking on them, and add new sections (including custom fields if you can’t find exactly what you need).

How do I delete my CV?

First, log in and go to your dashboard.

You’ll see all the CVs you’ve created. Find the one you want to delete.

Click on the three dots to the right of the CV name, and select ‘delete’ from the drop down menu.

How can I duplicate my CV?

First, log in and go to your dashboard.

You’ll see all the CVs you’ve created. Find the one you want to duplicate.

Click on the three dots to the right of the CV name, and select ‘duplicate’ from the drop down menu.

Can I save my work and return later to edit my CV again?

Yes!

Your CV will automatically save while you work on it. So you can come back as many times as you need.

Even if you get your CV finished in one session, we recommend giving it at least a few hours before you do a final proofread with fresh eyes. Otherwise, it’s easy to miss small mistakes.
